How to Join MOLA

MOLA Membership Application
Dues Information and payment options

Deadline: April 1, 2008
Applications (with letters and any other supporting materials) must be postmarked no later than April 1, 2008.

MOLA (Major Orchestra Librarians' Association) is an international organization dedicated to helping orchestral librarians throughout the world. Not only do we communicate with each other, but also help each other in many facets of our profession.

We have an annual conference, the quarterly newsletter Marcato, a website (www.mola-inc.org), various brochures, errata lists, and a listing of affiliated orchestras and librarians.

To apply:

• Print out and fill in the application form.
• The membership application must be signed by both the librarian and an administrative official (the executive director, general manager etc) who will be responsible for supporting the orchestra's membership in MOLA. Please note it is the orchestra rather than the individual which is the member, although the librarian will represent the orchestra and receive communications.
• Have your administrator write a formal letter on the orchestra's headed paper which serves as your formal request for membership and illustrates their perception of the value of the librarian becoming involved with MOLA.
• Mail the application and formal letter to the address given below.
• Do not include any dues payments.

Completed applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee and the Board of Directors. Upon their approval, the general membership officially votes in new members at the annual conference. No member benefits can be extended to applying organizations until they have been accepted as members.
